Networking and it's Impact on today's corporate environment

Hi Joanne,

Here is a topic i intend to write on for my project, i hope it,s okay  by you.

               

In today's business environment the art of system/computer networking is the core foundation of information technology. Every business whether large or small, needs system networking in one form or another to fasclitate its smooth operations,flexibility, instant communication and data access.
Hypothesis:

•  This project is about an indept review on how computer networking has advanced corporate organisation in their search to attain market globalisation.
• Also to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of computer networking in an organisation.
• Roles and duties of a network engineer will also be showcased.
• And finally to look at the different types of system networking currently in use , and future trend in computer networking.

Learning Line

Learning is the cognitive process of acquiring skill or knowledge,which can be aquired through school or study.
As such learning for me started at about age 4 when i joined the Nursery back home then in Nigeria.

• At age 6 i started my primary school education with Saint Thomas Primary School, this went on for 6 years.
• At age 13 years i moved on to Nigerian Model High School, where i studied commercial subjects, my time in the secondary school was quite interesting as a result of my participating a various school and acadenic activities, which enable us to visit different part of the country
• On leaving the secondary school i enrolled with the Federal Polythecnic Oko in Anambra state to study accountancy National Diploma Level, which is a two years programme.In between this period i sat for the National Examination J A M B, and successfully gained admission to study Economics at the prestigeous Obafemi Awolowo University ile -ife in Osun state for my 1st degree.
• On getting to the UK I did a few certificate courses with Sawthwark College: Computer for the office, S A G E Line 50 computerised accounting level 1& 2. SAGE Payroll accounting,all this was between 2001/02. In between i worked for different organisation in various capacity and also become a family man in the process.
• In 2003 i enrolled at Lewisham college to study computer maintainance which is a course for IT Practitioners, i find the course intersting and as decided to take it further, and which was why i finally enroll at Anglia Ruskin University where i am currently studying computer networking in the department of computing and Technology.

SWOT ANALYSIS

Below is information on my SWOT Analysis.  Which i am still working hard to improve upon. and i hope to utilize what ever skills aquired within the course of this degree programme at been a better person than i was when i started the programme.
STRENGTHS
Good inter-personal skills
Excellent organizational skills
A good team player
Excellent communication skills


WEAKNESSES
Needs to improve on procrastination on what needs to be done
Needs more improvement on my computer skills


OPPORTUNITIES
I hope to be a competent Computer Network Engineer after graduation
Take adequate advantage of all the resources available to me, in building a sound foundation in my chosen career path
Ability to use my new acquired knowledge to assist my community by volunteering.
Be a good motivator to the up coming youth in my church or community.

Coping education with family lifestyle
Financial obligation
Meeting up with deadline on submission of course work & materials.
